doris/magee films

The doris/magee collection was a collaboration between filmmakers Ian Whelan and Derek O'Connor. Formed in 2009, they immediately found themselves as Filmmakers in Residence for the Leviathan Political Cabaret.

This led to them providing a series of comedy shorts for the IFTA award winning RTE show, The Frontline.
​
In 2013,doris/magee completed their first full television production for TG4. The film ""Ponydance: An Scannon" - part documentary, part mockumentary - went on to win Best Youth Program in the Celtic Media Awards.

They followed this with two highly regarded music documentaries for RTE - "Feis Ceoil: By Numbers" and "Feis Ceoil: In Time".
​
They followed the success of these films with a personal project "Night of the Cyclones" - which premiered on RTE 1.
​
Their final film "Lesley Roy: Home" premiered on RTE Online in 2021.
